Working Principle of Flat Die Thread Rolling Machine
Our flat die thread rolling machine adopts the classic reciprocating flat die structure. The system consists of one stationary die plate and one reciprocating moving die plate. When a cylindrical blank is fed between the two dies, the moving die slides horizontally to drive the blank to roll continuously. The precisely machined tooth profiles on the die surface gradually form the complete thread on the blank surface through cold extrusion.
This forming method achieves material deformation without cutting off metal fibers, so the internal grain structure of the thread remains continuous. The work-hardening effect generated during rolling significantly improves thread surface hardness and wear resistance, which is unmatched by traditional cutting processes.
